We are super hopeful that we will enjoy some sort of Pre-school normality this summer term! We will closely monitor the latest government Covid regulations and adjust where necessary.
Dates are as follows:

Saturday 8th May- Pre-School Open Day via appointment only
Monday 31st May –Friday 4th June (inclusive) Half term
Monday 7th June- Living eggs will join us (incubating eggs and hatching experience)
Tuesday 22nd June- Parents evening
Wednesday 30th June- Sports Day
Friday 16th July, Graduation and Last day of term

The Iminathi Educare Centre
The IMINATHI EDUCARE Centre was started 5 years ago by an inspirational man, Mhla and his wonderful wife, Lindelwa. Their vision was to improve their community and provide care and education for the local children. The centre is situated in Khayelitsha, Cape Town; the largest and fastest growing township in
South Africa.

Through one of our current parents, we have formed an international relationship with Mhla, Lindelwa and the children in their care, which enables the children who attend our Pre-School to not only Skype and connect with children living in a very different set of circumstances, but also to enable a positive provision of key learning resources from our Pre-School to theirs.

Allowing St. Francis Pre-School children the opportunity to gain an insight into how children in different parts of the world live, and are educated, has been eye opening and humbling.
​
The latest news from the Educare Centre is that they have received some funding to replace their original shipping container buildings with a purpose built facility. We are looking forward to seeing their new accommodation and being able to talk to the centre again once they have moved in and reconnected to the internet.
